The outgoing president of the United States, Donald J. Trump on Monday fires his Defense Secretary, Mark Esper, who announced on Twitter.
The president is not happy with the Pentagon leader whom he believes not loyal to him. This sends a shockwave into the international allies as Trump refused top conceded the election results.
The president immediately appoints Christopher Miller, with immediate effect, according to his Twitter. Miller, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, will serve as Acting Secretary of Defense. The president sidelined the deputy to Mark, David Norquist. David is the second top-ranking in the Pentagon.
The president is currently waging a legal battle against the Democrats’ presidential victory. Trump claims that the election was rigged and now formed a massive legal team of highly respected lawyers to dispute the results.
“I am pleased to announce that Christopher C. Miller, the highly respected Director of the National Counterterrorism Center (unanimously confirmed by the Senate), will be Acting Secretary of Defense, effective immediately….”, the president Tweet on Monday.

“…Chris will do a GREAT job! Mark Esper has been terminated. I would like to thank him for his service.”
