Both USA and Sudan have been building bridges and improving their diplomatic ties. But the move by USA to pressure Sudan to pay the amount is seen by critics as a bullying case or perhaps Sudan is buying for her freedom.

Sudan has been over sanctions by United States which has affected its economy leading to fall of Omar Bashir last year.
