SPLM/A (IO) military spokesperson has on Tuesday denied the audio leaked to the public on Monday, sayings the voice was “voice shopped” and he has nothing to do with it.

“The SPLA (IO) office of information would like to inform the public that, the recorded voice being sent to social media is fake and it’s a photoshop and It has been created by the enemy, especially those who were unhappy with my coming back to the HQs. It has to be regarded as fake news of the day.”

The audio which was sent to media outlets by an unidentified person recorded a voice like that of the SPLM/A (IO) spokesperson.

In audio running 10 minutes, the supposed voice of Gatjiath discussed extensively with government spy Chief, Gen. Akol Koor how the group of former SPLM/A (IO) Chief of Staffs, LT. Gen. Simon Gatwech Dual should remove FVP Dr. Riek Machar Teny from the leadership.

“What he (General Akol Koor) told me is that the government only has a problem with [Riek Machar]. They have no issue with [General Gatwech Dual] and what they said is that let General Simon Gatwech Dual remove [Riek Machar] and declare himself as the leader of the SPLM-IO. Then, they will remove Riek Machar as who will have no legitimate reason to continue as First Vice President because he would not be the SPLM-IO chairman,” said Gatjiath in recorded audio.

In the audio, the voice makes fun of the plan to convinced the group to negotiate with the government, a call Gatjiath downplayed and did not take seriously.

There are apps online that can modify the voice of a person. Ramciel found out that the recently recorded audio was not that of the SPLM/A (IO) spokesperson.

Ramciel has the right not disclosed further how they come to this conclusion unless otherwise under request.
