Former miss world South Sudan was shocked when asked by a prominent businessman in Juba to spend a night in Dubai with him. This time, the offered involved 10grants-ten thousands USD.

Florence Thompson, the 2018 crowned South Sudan fashion model felt like breaking down when requested by a businessman to have sex with her in Dubai with $10k.

She was disgusted and shattered. She was to be fly over from Nairobi in a luxurious airbus and spend just one night with the businessman in Emirate and then return to school the following day-just for $10k.

The 22 years old beauty model allegedly declined the offered.

According to Hot in Juba, Florence said the offered came in a day after being crowned to represent South Sudan in miss world.

“Modelling is nice, the designer’s clothes, the attention but there is the other side to modeling.” She told Hot in Juba.

“I care about my dignity, something my father taught me as a child. So, I take this thing seriously,” she added.

The model who is currently a student at Cavendish University believe the modelling industry is shaded with “exploitation, hate, and sexual abuse” by businessmen and agents.

“The way people at modeling in South Sudan, I suffered. I go through hell when I was crowned. People think maybe we are sex objects. This hurt me. I didn’t like it.”

The stories of government officials, businessmen and “nas kubar” in South Sudan hunting young girls for sex has been on raise recently. Last month, a U.K based South Sudan woman came out accusing a senior government official of allegedly trying to exploit her sexually.

Florence pleas to the government to protect girls from “sex-starved” predator men with chunk of monies at their disposal.
