E Salva Kiir Mayardit, on Wednesday sent his message of sympathy to his First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny who contacted the virus this week. In a letter sent to RBC, president Kiir comforts his colleague and the entire members of the former High-Level Task Force (HLTF) to fight the virus naturally.“I write to convey my get-well wishes to you and members of the former High-Level Task Fore (HLTF) on COVID-19 who have been tested positive alongside Your Excellency. It is my hope and prayer that each new day brings Your Excellency and the rest of our comrades closer to a full and speedy recovery. May Almighty God envelop you in good health and spur your quick recovery”, read the letter sent to the RBC editorial desk.The president seems to shake-off the virus despite having received several guests since the outbreak of the Coronavirus.“I want to personally encourage you and the rest of your colleagues to go through this with courage and zeal needed to win the battle. We all know that pandemic is relentless, but we will pull through” read part of the message seen by RBC.He appreciates his First Vice President for quickly taking measures to quarantine himself and wishes him speedy recovery.Kiir’s relationship with his First Vice President took different turns since the outbreak of civil war in 2013. Since early March 2020, the 2 leaders has been working together in an attempt to unite the fragile people of the world’s young nation.
