The sudden death of prominent Lou Nuer preacher, pastor Michael Wiyual Thep shocked the entire Nuer community. Several people lamented his death on Saturday on social media.

Pastor Michael is known as a humble man of God who shepherds thousands of flocks across the Lou Nuer and the entire Nuer community. Michael died on Saturday in Akobo Hospital after battling a short illness. The family has not yet disclosed to the media what causes his death.

Michael was a Presbyterian Church Congregation in Akobo for more than 25 years.

Changkuothnyatungoong Gatnyamiraan who lamented the death of the legendary pastor on social media said that it is one of the most difficult moments in the community.
