The president of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E President Salva Kiir Mayardit is expected to reshuffle the cabinet, dissolve the national legislature, and the current Presidency after the end of the TGONU period, a source who spoke to Ramciel by WhatsApp on Wednesday has alleged.
According to the source, the current transitional government remains with only 8 months to which it will be expired. The President is confident that the current security arrangement will not be possible to implement.
Echoed by his recent remarks, the president blamed the peace guarantors for putting into the paper an agreement that can not be implemented. The government seems to be buying time to delay the implementation of the security arrangement fully.
“The president of the republic will dissolve the presidency, restructure the parliament-he feels it is too big-, and then appointing a female Vice President. The current government is not necessary and sustainable.”
The newly appointed parliamentarians are not yet sworn in. the oppositions are complaining and no hopes to resume the parliament.
“Listen, there are more than 550 members of parliament. Each state will have nearly 100 legislatures and multiple with 10 states. There is no budget for such a voluminous kind of parliamentarian anywhere on the planet. It is simply not possible for the government to sustain. The country has no money. The economy is down. I support the president on this.”
