Powerful National Resistance Movement’s Gen. Kenyi Luburon officially resigned on Sunday from the movement he successful drive its victories for the last 4 years.

Kenyi joined another emerging leader, Dr. Lako Jada Kwajok’s Democratic Resistance Movement.

The general resigns on Sunday with immediate effect citing a lack of leadership in NAS.

According to the document seen by Ramciel, Gen. Kenyi defected with his entire military might in the Central Equatoria State where he has been a sector commander for 4 years.

He said the majority of NAS supporters in the ground and across the globe are not “happy with the current” direction the rebels’ movement is being led.

“It’s now clear that the majority of NAS supporters and the forces on the ground are unhappy with the current course of the Movement.

It stands at odds with the well-known objectives of our revolution and indeed with the reasons you listed in your resignation letter from the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) and the government of South Sudan.”

Kenyi outlined his loyalty to Lt. Gen. Thomas Cirilo through pain and suffering. However, he accuses his former chairman of diverting away from the “original goals” of the movement but the present direction movement is taking.

Because Thomas lost touch with reality and doesn’t listen to advice given by the people who vital to the movement but never take them seriously. He said the supporters and soldiers are exhausted thus they can not follow the chairman of the movement anymore.
