Kenyan transporters to withdraw services following recent ambush & burning of track drivers

Kenya Transporters Association has called upon service providers to withdraw services pertaining to transportation following recent ambush and killing of track drivers along Juba-Nimule highway.

On a travel advisory note, the association has advised the transporters not to travel to South Sudan till a good security is guaranteed.

The attack on the vehicle happened at 6am on Thursday killing a total number of five people with foreign individuals inclusive.

According to the eye witness who survived, the bandits came of nowhere after the car left Obama village near Ame Junction at Kit 2 and opened fired on them.

The drivers were burnt ashes.

So far, no statement released by the concern authority pertaining to the matter.

The ambush is not the first case but there have been several.
