Governor Chagor briefs the President on Jonglei State security affairs

Governor of Jonglei State Hon. Denay Chagor has briefed the President of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E Salva Kiir Mayardit on the affairs of Jonglei.

According to a press release by the office of Governor Chagor, discussed with the President road construction, security, and progress of the Revitalized peace agreement.

“Hon. Governor Chagor this afternoon briefed H.E. President Kiir on State’s affairs which include; road constructions, security, and progress of Revitalized peace agreement.”

Chagor informed the President about the construction of the road by Africa Resources Corporation (ARC) near completion.

“Chagor stated that the ongoing construction of the road by African Resources Corporation (ARC) is going well. He reiterated that the road construction has boosted economic activities especially in Bor town”, part of the statement read.

The governor revealed that the security situation in the state is relatively calm. He is currently in communication with officials from Greater Public Administrative Area-GPAA.

“Chagor commented that the security situation in Jonglei State is relatively calm. He revealed that he is already in regular communication with his counterpart from Greater Pibor Administrative Area to ensure that peace is realized between the two sides.”

Chagor is one of the high-performed Governors appointed last year by the President to head Jonglei State.
