Gen. Johnson Olony allegedly afraid of going to Juba, Suspects ‘poisoning’ | Sources

July 2nd 2020, (KHARTUOM) — The use of biochemical substances including radioactive substance and nano poisonous substances and their advantage does not require access to the target (as) their lethal results will appear after six or 12 months. The afterwards result is perishing of the identified victim.

Although such a grave political weapon of elimination is not confirmed to have been used in South Sudan, many people have been suspicious of its possible use on the government’s enemies. This is why at one point, the SPLM/A -IO Chairman Dr. Riek Machar, violated a J1 rule by refusing to sit on the offered seat while inside the president’s office earlier this month. A move which was later protested by the President’s Press Secretary, Ateny Week Ateny as bad gesture. Sources later said the Chairman suspected a setup which made him to be ‘cautious’ while always visiting J1.

The pressure is mounted on the supposed governor and his arrival in Juba. A request he reportedly said to have rejected without a second thought. His being absent in Juba however is the prior reason why the government said he was not appointed for.

According to a senior SPLM/A -IO official, General Johnson declined the request to come to Juba due to the alleged rumours that the government is planing to poison him and possibly ‘eliminating’ him after six or twelve months period. He added the supposed governor is ‘tough headed’ and has not from the heart accepted the peace agreement but would still accept the gubernatorial position.

A few days ago, following an emergency meeting between the two main rival groups’ leaders, the government and some IO officials termed Johnson Olony as a man with a tribal mindset. Hon. Nhial Deng Nhial also alluded that the General hate the government so much and the same reasons he has been fighting the government with, have not been resolved. Some include land issues around Malakal. The Jieng Section of Apadang of Upper Nile, have bodly rejected his appointment and cited break away from the State.

So far, concerning the issue, the government have demanded for Administrative Areas for the Apadang community or else, according to the community leaders, IO must change their mind on Johnson Olony’s case. This has prompted a serious deadlock and Upper Nile gubernatorial seat is currently on hold.
