Breaking: Senior Advocate Assassinated In Malakal | U.N.S

A senior advocate has been assassinated on Monday evening in Malakal, Upper Nile State.

The counsellor, Thomas Aban who hails from Chollo Community of Upper Nile was killed by Militias alledgely from Apadang Community section of Dinka.

According to an eye witness, Lawyer Thomas Aban was killed in a restaurant in Malakal town on Monday evening where he went to have an evening meal. It was then at this point the militias followed in and opened fire and shot at him wounding several others at the scene.

The number of casualties and the reason why he was killed is yet to be confirmed as investigations by Ramciel Broadcasting team are under way.

The news of Gen. Johnson Olony becoming the governor of Upper Nile has been disputed by the Upper Nile States communities with the section of Padang rejecting his appointment.

This thus has been resulting to tensions buildup and high political misunderstanding in the region creating insecurity.
