Press Secretary to FVP, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, Hon. James Gatdet Dak has resigned, Ramciel has learned.

According to a short note sent to media outlets on Sunday, the former press secretary indicated that he is currently on a “temporary leave” no longer in a position to perform his duties as the press secretary in the office of the FVP.

He left in his position, Cde Puok Both Baluang.

“As I am on a temporary leave from my office as the Press Secretary in the Office of the First Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan, H. E. Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon, my colleague, Cde Puok Both Baluang, shall continue to act on my behalf.”

“Media outlets should be directing any inquiries to him”, Gatdet further said.
“This information is for all” he urges the media outlets.

What prompted the order is believed to be over his recent controversial statement regarding SPLM/A-IO Chief of Staff, 1st Lt. Gen. Simon Gatwech Dual.

Gatdet asked Gatwech to accept the appointment as a Senior Presidential Advisor for peace, a call he rejected recently.
