South Sudan Revolutionary Army (SSRA) under the all-over leadership of the veteran former SPLM/A High Commander, Lt. Gen. Gordon Koang Chuol Kulang has endorsed and joined SPLM/A (IO).
According to a press release seen by Ramciel, the rebels Army stationed in the Northern Upper Nile for the last 2 years will operate under the leadership of Hon. Duer Tut Duer, the new leader of the armed opposition (SPLM/A-IO).
“We, the forces of South Sudan (revolutionaries), led by first General Gordon Koang Chuol Kulang announce to the whole world, the Africa Union, the IGAD countries and the international organizations that sponsor peace in the world, our support for the movement led by chairman Douer Tut Douer as of July 1, 2021.”
SSRA outlined several reasons why they decided to join Duer Tut Duer. Check their press releases attached to this news outlet.
Gen. Koang who fallout with FVP Dr. Riek Machar since 1994, blamed FVP Dr. Riek Machar Teny for failing the rebel movement.
Duer is set to form a leadership council consisting of 21 members in a move to reform the rebels’ movement.
